A time to mourn....

If you have recently lost a loved one, my deepest sympathies to you. The death of someone close is one of the most difficult things in life you will experience. Allow me to journey with you, as we create a service tailored to fit you and your family's needs. A little bit about me...

I began serving others in 2001 when I was ordained as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. I've served parishes in Saskatchewan and Alberta. In 2006, while serving in Calgary, I became acquainted with a funeral director who asked me to officiate at a service for a family who did not have any church affiliation. I was privileged to help out in this way.

Over the past four years, I have been a funeral officiant with this funeral home, celebrating lives of all ages and from all belief backgrounds. End of life ministry and the funeral industry truly engaged me and I wanted to learn and experience more. So in 2008-2009, I studied for one year at the Canadian College of Funeral Service and was a funeral directing and embalming student. The time I spent at this funeral home celebrating people's lives and learning as a funeral apprentice, have professionally and personally enriched me. My personal belief is that all life is to be honored - no matter how long or short a life was lived, no matter what beliefs a family holds - all are to be respected.
